Jacques Callot's Temptation of St Anthony as Decoration

This is an interesting little book from a large collection I have recently purchased, an anthology of fiction and non-fiction writing about all manner of dark arts from Witchcraft to Werewolves with some great names contributing. One of the things that struck me though, immediately, were the illustrations, (or decorations I suppose more accurately). So very clearly influenced by Hieronymus Bosch, it turns out that they are all details from a etching made in 1630 by Jacques Callot, The Temptation of St Anthony. I haven't been able to find a really good internet reproduction of the whole thing but it clearly a real tour-de-force of artistry and of the print-maker's craft. What struck me about the decorations in this book is that they were clearly done from blocks themselves and, somewhere, just maybe, there still exist today printing blocks of farting devils and a demon swordsman from 1630 via 1946.
