A gentle stroll around an antiques fair today and I have come home with three new items for my own collection. One of the nice things about the digital world is that you can take the small images on postcards and scan them with lots of magnification and see lots of details. So here we have a postcard of what looks to be the beginning of a swimming race.. although with trees that bare it must surely be mid-winter... brrrr.... Then, regular readers will know I have a soft spot for faded or damaged old photos, there is a real photographic postcard of a group of scouts at their swimming pool. And finally a football team of a group of young chaps that I might not have bought but for the fact that on the back we discover that the sender Jack (who seems to be showing off a little to 'Lizzie') is pictured on the front: I like the idea of guessing who he might be.
