I am probably coming very late to the party but on the Isle of Wight at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport recently, R and I visited an exhibition called Duets which featured work by artists working in collaborative pairs. In a discreet couple of frames by the door on the way out were some exquisite drawings from the Undiscovered Creatures project, a collaboration between Isle of Wight based portrait artist Rachael Berry and the illustrator and graffiti artist SCAB. Weird hybrid creatures are created by sticking together two, already pretty funky but real creatures and a natural history description of the creature, it's habitat and habits. There is a fantastic blog all about the project but when you visit, do bear in mind that the delicacy and, yes, beauty of the original drawings is so much greater than can be conveyed on the Internet of a printed copy. It did, however, give me the opportunity to add to my collection of modern postcards by purchasing a set from the shop! They are available also online.
