No vintage swimwear in sight in these photos but they jumped out at me from a bundle of photos bought from the estate of a good amateur photographer recently. I like the top photo in particular because of the wonderful accidental composition. The speeding car is passing the Mail Offices and the local newspaper office and there are two types of people in the background, one group looking at the photographs in the window of the newspaper and then what must be a father and son caught in the moment of gawking at the cat as it speeds past.
The photo below is, of course, not intended to be seen except by the photographer who would have produced it in the darkroom to check how different lengths of light exposure looked. But I love the effect and think it makes a very cool picture in its own right: almost because of the subject matter, the steps leading up into the light...
